About My Clients
My experience includes working in outpatient holistic agencies, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. I work with both individuals and couples who are looking to improve their relationships, learn ways to alleviate stress and anxiety, and develop a greater understanding of themselves.
My Background and Approach
I am a systemically trained therapist, therefore I incorporate my clients' relationships and environments into gaining an understanding of current and past functioning to develop goals for treatment. I often give my clients "homework" such as listening to a podcast, watching a Ted Talk, or taking a relationship quiz from time to time. My approach is warm, with humor, nonjudgmental, and direct.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I genuinely enjoy working with my clients, I also come from a place of understanding how hard life is, and I relate with many issues and family dynamics. I am not an expert on my clients, I am here to guide, understand and support them to reach their goals, while also challenging their perspective at times. We all have a story, I'm here to understand yours, and help you design the unwritten parts that are yet to come.
