About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional intensity, and serious mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. I also support those with brain injuries, special needs, and co-occurring physical, developmental, and mental health conditions. I provide home and community-based services to reduce barriers and meet clients where they are, fostering understanding, stability, and growth.
My Background and Approach
I earned my graduate degree from Upper Iowa University and completed my internship at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I hold certifications as a Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered, and holistic care. I integrate positive psychology and evidence-based interventions to support insight, resilience, and self-understanding. I recognize the connection between mental, physical, and emotional health, and I honor the impact of each person’s identities and lived experiences. I also emphasize care coordination, collaborating with providers and supports to ensure comprehensive, individualized care that promotes long-term recovery and overall well-being.

I believe that healing is most effective when individuals feel seen, heard, and respected. Each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to walk alongside them as they navigate challenges and discover their strengths. I am dedicated to empowering clients through compassionate, evidence-based care while meeting them where they are in every aspect of their journey. I believe in fostering self-understanding, honoring the intersection of identities, and supporting each person in creating a life that feels meaningful and authentic.
