As an intelligent person, you find yourself somewhat confused as to why these problems seem to continue coming up for you despite your best efforts to solve them. You're hoping that you can regain some level of control and return to feeling the way you used to.
My Background and Approach
I am a psychotherapist with postgraduate training in adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy from The Training Institute for Mental Health in New York City. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and hold a graduate degree from Fordham University. I have a background in community mental health and have had extensive experience conducting psychotherapy sessions over the last several years. I approach each interaction in therapy as a unique dialogue between me and you that is tailored to your needs. I aim to help broaden your awareness of the thoughts and feelings you experience internally, but may not have had a chance to really get to know. I also believe that a fuller understanding of the context of your life experience and the way this has led to the struggle you find yourself with today can be helpful and even transformative.
