About My Clients
I have provided individual therapy to Adolescents, Adults, Young Adults, and Children. I also have experience working alongside the parents of my clients, providing support that helps the child manage behaviors at home and at school. I have helped clients develop and utilize tools/strategies that support management of anxiety, depression, life transitions, family conflict, attachment, and grief/personal loss.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I received a BS in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. My clinical focus centers around CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), and EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy) based interventions. The combination of these modalities provides my clients with not only a comfortable space to process and confront challenging emotions, thoughts, but also the freedom to change behaviors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold a strong belief that every client of any age from every background can feel heard when accessing the therapeutic space. I believe that the collaboration between client and therapist is essential towards providing effective care and assisting the client with their therapy goals. I value the story that the client writes, always striving to help them along their journey, whether it be identifying their true self, finding a source of motivation, or creating change in their world. Adolescent and Young Adult male mental health is of great importance to me, having previous experience in emergency crisis response.
