About My Clients
Is it the middle of the night and you can't sleep because your brain will not shut-up? Are you replaying a tape of your failures over and over in your head OR are you worried about all the what-ifs that will come with tomorrow? When our mental health hijacks our nights, our days, our lives we feel alone, we feel isolated. Unable to find enjoyment in life because we feel trapped by our thoughts whether they be of the past or of the future.
My Background and Approach
Over the past 9 years I have specialized in providing therapy to adults, teens, and children dealing with substance use, depression, and anxiety. Over the past several years I have worked as a Clinical Director at dual diagnosis treatment centers working with clients whom struggle with substance use and/or mental health concerns. Through my time there I have perfected my tools to get to know you and your story. I make our sessions about your needs and focus on achieving your goals in our sessions. I feel that rapport is paramount in the therapeutic setting and strive to provide a safe place where you can explore your situation without judgement. I will check-in regularly to make sure that you are feeling heard and we are still working towards your goals for therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is capable of growth and change. I believe that we are only limited by the barriers that we place on ourselves. This means recognizing that I have control over the response to my emotions and that while my emotions are valid, my response to them is not always handled in the healthiest of ways. While I might not handle my emotions in the best of ways, I can learn from those experiences and work to make change if I want and am willing.
