I work directly with children, teens, and families, helping to navigate the struggles that accompany anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence in everyday life. My Background and Approach
My practice is driven by a passion for helping children and teens become the best possible versions of themselves while offering support for whatever struggles they might face. My clients tend to struggle with issues of anxiety, depression, and navigating the obstacles that come with neurodivergences such as ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. It's no secret that we have been living through stressful and anxiety-inducing times, and my goal is to help you navigate the issues you may be facing with as much support, dignity, and direction as you deserve. We'll start by discussing what's going on in the moment, then we'll work to uncover the core issue underlying it—the core needs in your life that may be going unmet, such as connection, control, or the courage to face what life throws your way. I know how exhausting it can be to try to push through your struggles, but I'm here to tell you that you don't have to do it alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that our struggles and behaviors are rooted in unmet needs in our lives; desires for connection, for courage, or for proving our own capability. By identifying these needs and healthier methods of meeting them, we can work together to find healing. Whether through play therapy techniques with my younger clients or more traditional therapy with older ones, my goals are one and the same: to learn about who you are, what you need in your life, and how I can support you while we work to meet that need. In my eyes, therapy works best as an equal partnership. I may be an expert on mental health, but you are the expert on yourself or your child—and that expertise should be valued just as deeply. I can't promise that the personal journey will be easy or comfortable, but I do believe that we can reach your goals together.
