About My Clients
I offer services to individuals as young as 6 years old. My ideal client experience difficulties and setbacks with trauma, battling stress, and suffering from anxiety, depression, and invalidation. My ideal couple and/or family struggles with communicating needs, thoughts, and wants, feeling distrust, argues often, avoid discussing what is most bothersome within the relationship, having intimacy issues, feeling distant, disconnected, or stressed, and having unrealistic expectations about life.
My Background and Approach
I served a diverse population of individuals and always enter each session with an open-mind and a willing heart to foster support and a secure space. I have worked in the psychiatric hospital and for statewide agency for approximately 9 years. Private Practice affords me the endless possibilities of being flexible and supplies me with the opportunity to meet each of my clients' needs. With my online platform, please rest assured no one will have access to your information and you are able to send private messages. My approach in therapy is strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as one size fits all. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every therapist have personal beliefs. I strive to ensure that my personal beliefs do not negatively impact your treatment. I value using humor, honesty, assertiveness, and acceptance in how I approach any person and any given situation. I know what it is like to not feel motivated and driven to do the things you want to do. Can you relate to comparing yourself to others or being compared to by others (in a not so good way)? I've lived, survived, and now thrived through those difficult moments. I know that anyone choosing to work with Grey Dove Counseling will be able to do the same. It is not because I said so.
