About My Clients
I treat individuals with a broad range of struggles (including various social-emotional-behavioral issues, difficulty managing stress, and trouble adjusting to life after high school). I also help kids with selective mutism. Each of my patients has their own treatment plan. We set goals together, and check back to see that we are making progress. My patients and their parents feel understood and supported. I carry a smaller caseload and return phone calls.
My Background and Approach
My work with children involves direct intervention through play, but also parenting strategies. With adolescents, we may delve into past experiences and relationships and examine how they impact the current situation. Having a clearer understanding can result in change. If issues are present in school, I like to incorporate check-ins or consultations with school staff. If you are curious about me as a professional, I am a licensed psychologist with a combined doctorate in school-clinical child psychology. I’ve worked in school settings (including a specialized program for students with extreme behavioral challenges), a large community clinic, and a psychiatric hospital.
