Throughout my career, DBT has been a useful technique utilized within crisis intervention and treatment. I specialize in incorporating DBT skills, such as mindfulness and emotional regulation, to reduce self-destructive thoughts and behaviors. DBT has been an essential treatment orientation with my experience as a clinician for at risk teens over the years. Within my practice, DBT skills continually enhance client resilience by increasing stress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness.

As a branch of CBT-related treatment, IPT is a specialized, time-sensitive intervention meant to build upon treating dysfunctional thought patterns targeted in CBT. As an expert in IPT, the aim is to go the step further in changing problematic, interpersonal behaviors that stem from unhealthy thinking patterns. Over the years, I have utilized this form of psychotherapy to complement specialized treatment approaches for clients with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders alike.

Depression is experienced by many individuals for a variety of reasons. There are a plethora of different triggers that onset the difficult symptoms one may face with depression. I have educated myself, over a decade practicing in the field, to best meed the needs of my patients dealing with depression.
