My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Latina, and a Bay Area native with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals in community mental health, schools, universities, and healthcare settings. My practice, Lotus Bloom Therapy, grew out of a passion for helping people heal, flourish, and reconnect with their strengths. I provide therapy for adults across California via telehealth, specializing in anxiety, grief, life transitions, identity-related experiences, as well as the challenges of academics, professional demands, and political stress. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Clients often share that they feel truly seen, understood, and empowered in our work together. I draw from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, always tailoring our work to your needs, goals, and life context. My role is to offer tools, insight, and support so you can reduce distress, deepen resilience, and create meaningful change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in everyone’s inherent worth and value, and that we all have the inner wisdom and resilience to heal and grow. As a Latina and Bay Area native, I value cultural identity, community, and belonging, and I know how important it is to feel understood in therapy. My core values include family, compassion, community, safety, liberation, lifelong learning, and social justice. I am passionate about advancing equity in mental health and supporting BIPOC and first- and second-generation communities. My work is also informed by my belief in rest, balance, and collective care as acts of resilience. Healing can take many forms, and I consider it a privilege to be part of my clients’ journeys toward growth and wellbeing. Above all, I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, empowered, and supported in creating meaningful change in your life. Outside of my work, I enjoy traveling, spending time in nature, and being with family and friends.
