About My Clients

As a therapist, I enjoy working with individual men and women, 15+; students, young adults, and adults, all from diverse backgrounds. I am proficient in evidence-based theories such as CBT and Emotion Focused Therapy, focusing heavily on trauma and emotional processing, psychoeducation, and coping skills. I find it important to help my clients strive to have goals, dissect and understand longstanding maladaptive and self-destructive patterns, and finding meaning to living a healthier life.

My Background and Approach

Originally from the Midwest, in 2018 I moved out to the PNW to pursue my graduate degree in counseling. My day always begins with a healthy cup of coffee (no cream!) and a walk with my sidekick: a playful young labradoodle. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, strumming guitar, swing dancing, hiking, running, nerding out over video games and movie franchises, and loving on other dogs at the dog park! I love to travel, and hope to spend time in the Middle East, Europe, or Latin America someday. A Seattle based therapist focusing on teens and their families, adults, and couples. I work with a milieu of issues with a psychologically and theologically informed perspective. My specialties are clinical trauma, attachment, and anxiety based issues. I utilize person-centered, emotionally focused, evidence-based theories, and help my client's understand, confront, and overcome lifelong patterns, learn new skills, and reengage in their lives with new mindsets.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that relationships are the catalyst of healing. When working with clients, I believe only through working together is the foundation of understanding my clients' world—your world. I strive to help guide clients to face and experience all aspects of their emotional lives and confront difficult feelings in order to grow. Growth can be and often is painful, but that does not mean you have to do it alone.

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
