About My Clients
As a therapist, I enjoy working with clients +15 who are struggling to deal with their trauma and symptoms of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and boundaries. My clients often have struggled with emotional neglect, and require someone to take their problems seriously, and might need assistance with feeling safe, how to be vulnerable, and to build up their self-esteem. I enjoy helping client build confidence, establish a sense of self-awareness and integration, and grow fulfilling lives
My Background and Approach
Originally from the Midwest, I understand how it feels to struggle to find one' community in a new place. Trauma is my specialty---as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional---and often that involves various symptoms like anxiety, depression and panic attacks. I offer convenient video therapy for teens and adults, and am proficient in CBT, Emotion focused therapy, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theory. I help clients recognize unacknowledged thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations/patterns, learn practical coping skills, and how to communicate their needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that relationships and consideration are catalysts of healing. People come to therapy lost or having tried everything and nothing seemed to work. Sometimes people just want to know that what they feel, think, or experience in their lives is "normal." My "MO" is about balancing empathy with sometimes difficult truths.
