Addictions Counselor in New Haven, CT

About My Clients

My ideal client is someone who is curious about themselves and open to exploring their inner world. They may feel stuck in certain patterns—whether emotional, relational, or behavioral—and are motivated to understand why. They’re willing to look beneath the surface, reflect honestly, and engage in the therapeutic process, even when it feels challenging. They value insight, personal growth, and are ready to make meaningful, lasting changes in their life.

My Background and Approach

I come from a strong background in the health and human services field, with extensive experience supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. My focus is in addiction counseling, but I recognize that substance use is often just one part of a larger personal journey. I believe in keeping therapy real and conversational—organic, not rehearsed—because genuine connection fosters meaningful growth. I’m committed to meeting each person where they are, without judgment, and walking alongside them at their own pace. My approach is flexible, compassionate, and open to exploring whatever path leads to healing, insight, and lasting change. I work with people from all walks of life and welcome anyone who’s ready to seek support, explore their patterns, or simply talk through what’s going on. Whether you're facing addiction, navigating life transitions, or just feeling stuck, we’ll work together to make sense of things and move toward what’s next.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we don’t live in a fair world—people carry burdens they didn’t choose and face systems that don’t always support them. That’s why I approach every client with deep respect for their lived experience. Most of us are doing the best we can with what we’ve been given, and when we’re not, it’s often because something is in the way—trauma, pain, lack of support, or simply exhaustion. I believe in meeting people where they are, with no assumptions, and working together to uncover what’s holding them back. Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in honesty, compassion, and real accountability. I believe growth doesn’t come from judgment, but from empowerment—reclaiming your voice, your choices, and your direction in life, no matter where you're starting from.
