About My Clients
I work with adults in individual sessions to focus on their mental health, stress management, and seeking to feel more connected to self. I am passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and ASD, people living with chronic illness as well as disabilities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals seeking a sex positive and kink informed space.
My Background and Approach
My background is in many different areas of human services and community connection which brings an understanding of the multiple layers that affect a person's needs in therapy. Previously working in community mental health, where I specialized in domestic violence and substance abuse intervention, I am stepping into this next chapter and expanding through internship with SBCS. I am here to provide space for individuals ( adults 18 + ) who are taking steps in their therapeutic journey, be it the first time or looking to go beyond what groundwork they may have done before. I am here to help guide or illuminate new thoughts and perspectives in session that make a helpful impact on the areas you care about.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every person is an expert on their own experiences. While grounded in ethical standards and evidence-based practice, counseling is fundamentally relational. Across cultures and throughout history, healing has occurred within human connection. I believe the counselor’s role is not to fix or create changes in others like an editorial reviewer , but to provide attuned support as individuals move through the process of becoming more integrated and self-aware. Rather than positioning myself as an expert who solves problems, I view counseling as a collaborative space in which clients are supported as they move toward their own insight, resilience, and growth.
