About My Clients
You're the person who holds everything together — at work, in your relationships, in your family. You're thoughtful, self-aware, and probably a little hard on yourself. You might be dealing with anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, or a quiet sense that something's just not working anymore, even when life looks fine from the outside. I work with adults who are ready to move past the patterns keeping them stuck.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in working with people who feel a lot, think even more, and have spent years putting everyone else first. Before opening my private practice, I spent seven years as a school social worker supporting adolescents through some of the most formative and difficult moments of their lives. That experience shaped how I work: with directness, warmth, and a deep respect for how hard change actually is. In sessions, I draw on IFS (Internal Family Systems), EMDR, ACT, and somatic and psychodynamic approaches ..not as a rigid protocol, but as a toolkit I tailor to each person. I'm especially interested in how early experiences shape the ways we relate to ourselves and others. I offer individual therapy for adults in New York and Ohio, and a Wedding Therapy Intensive for individuals preparing for marriage. I see clients in person in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on Wednesdays and via telehealth!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship — one built on honesty, humor when it's called for, and genuine curiosity about who you are and what you need. I'm committed to practicing in a way that's affirming and accessible. I work with clients across a range of identities and life experiences, and I think deeply about how systems — families, institutions, culture — shape the way we understand ourselves. Outside the therapy room, I care a lot about community and connection. I host a recurring gathering called the Well-Read & Hot Club — a discussion group that takes seriously the idea that thinking together is one of the most meaningful things people can do. I'm also a lover of thrift stores, good books, and the spooky season!
