About My Clients
If you are having trouble with daily life activities or difficulty connecting in relationships, you have found the right place. It is difficult to connect to "normal" life when you are internally fighting with memories or just struggling with keeping yourself together, whether this is anxiety, depression or trauma. I engage in collaborative practice and meet you where you are in life. I am here to support and teach you new ways of coping with daily stressors.
My Background and Approach
In my practice, I have found that every individual is in a different place in their lives. I like to assess how you are doing and make a collaborative goals that you are looking forward to meet. I use expressive art techniques to help those my creative clients, and I use CBT techniques for my more analytical clients. I also teach mindfulness and grounding techniques to help you learn new ways to stay regulated. My approach is focused on EMDR and attachment principles, which I believe can give you the tools to build on the resilience that you have already attained.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone struggles in life, and I do not believe in comparing those struggles. I think that everyone deserves compassion and life can kick you when you are down. As a Latinx therapist, I find joy in serving the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, children, and underprivileged community. I believe that everyone in the world has room for growth and can change. I love learning and I find that I learn more from my client's experiences, which encourages me to advocate for others. If you would like to learn more about me please email or call me for a free 15 minute consultation.
