About My Clients
I help individuals struggling with opening up due to trauma, life transitions, anxiety or depression. If you’ve learned to keep your emotions inside—whether out of fear of being misunderstood or feeling like a burden—opening up can feel overwhelming. In session, we will explore your experiences, process emotions, and work on addressing unhelpful behaviors. Together, we’ll work toward self-understanding, emotional balance, and addressing the beliefs and behaviors that are no longer serving you.
My Background and Approach
My approach is always strengths-focused, non-judgmental, and trauma informed. I utilize Brainspotting, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and parts work to help clients release stuck emotions & access deeper, emotional work. I specialize in working with public safety professionals, healthcare workers, people in academia (faculty and students).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value non-judgement and curiosity, with lots of dark humor. Cursing in session is acceptable and encouraged. Outside of mental health, I love being outdoors and building community through hiking, paddleboarding, camping, and all things nature. My family is originally from Portugal, and I love finding creative ways to connect with my cultural.
