About My Clients
I often work with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, improving communication with romantic, familial, and interpersonal relationship challenges and self-esteem and self-worth.I tend to work best with clients who value openness, honesty, and vulnerability, and who are ready to engage in a process of growth and self-reflection.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I support clients in exploring how past and present experiences shape their emotional lives and relationships. Together, we can work to deepen self-understanding, reconnect with emotions and the body, and build tools for healing and growth. My therapeutic approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Breathwork, Yoga, Somatic Abolitionism, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Feminist Theory, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Holistic & Integrative Health (mind-body-community-spirit), Spirituality, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Inner Child, Wonder-Based Healing Modalities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black therapist, I understand that our identities, communities, and lived experiences shape how we move through the world and relate to ourselves and others. My work is grounded in social justice, liberation, and the belief that healing is both personal and collective. I am committed to creating affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC communities, neurodivergent folks, and those navigating the impacts of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and marginalization. I believe therapy can be a place to reconnect with your authentic self, deepen self-trust, and cultivate ways of living that feel more aligned with your values. Beyond the therapy room, I am passionate about community care, decolonizing mental health practices, and challenging narratives that disconnect us from ourselves, one another, and the natural world. I value slowing down, intentional living, creativity, and the wisdom that emerges when we make space to listen to ourselves.
