About My Clients
Curiosity, pain & frustration are just a few of the many catalysts that bring a person to therapy. Whatever it is that brought you, please know you have a place here. I work with adults and adolescents (16+) struggling with issues such as eating disorders, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, and/or family conflict. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and have worked at all levels of care. I practice in Spanish and English.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-22212) in Arizona & a registered Behavioral Telehealth Social Worker (#8671437) in Idaho, as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS-6979). I provide virtual psychotherapy to individuals (16+) & facilitate intimate virtual support groups (+18). I received my Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University and have experience at the outpatient, intensive outpatient & residential levels of care. My commitment is to validate & challenge you where appropriate without judgment. My approach seeks to help you reconnect with the resilience you already possess for healing that long outlives our time together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It takes courage to seek support and I celebrate the space you are making for growth and healing in your life. As your therapist, my commitment is to meet you where you are at with compassion, hope, and honesty. I believe mental health struggles are shaped by unique combinations of systemic oppression, lived and intergenerational traumas, family systems, relationships, and learned behaviors we've relied on to cope and survive. I believe in the power of connection and self-compassion as paths towards uprooting learned and internalized shame.
