About My Clients
I specialize in serving Latiné/x communities and am sensitive to issues of acculturation and immigration, the balancing of culture and career, and for first-gen college students, navigating college without a roadmap.
My Background and Approach
I have a doctorate and masters in social work and have been practicing for over 25 years. I have 13 years of specialized practice experience as a school social worker and for the past 10 years, I have developed social work education programs and trained Bachelor's-level (B.S.W.) generalist social workers to enter the profession with competence and confidence. I am licensed in PR and NJ I provide therapy in both English and Spanish, offering a space where clients can show up fully and be understood in the language that feels most natural to them. My approach is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which means we don’t stay stuck only talking about what’s wrong. Instead, we work together to notice your strengths.
