About My Clients
Do you feel like you're always managing everyone's needs but your own? Maybe anxiety keeps you replaying conversations at 2am, old wounds shape how you show up in relationships, or burnout and perfectionism leave you exhausted and unsure who you are outside what you do for others. If this sounds familiar, you don't have to keep carrying it alone. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship struggles, self-esteem, burnout, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #149421) practicing in Old Town Pasadena and via telehealth throughout California, supervised by Eliza Steel, LMFT #107513 and Brooke Knaack, LMFT #84862. I draw on EMDR, attachment-based, and psychodynamic work with individuals, and Gottman Method or Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples, all held in a relational, strength-based style. We begin by understanding what's keeping you stuck, then build a collaborative plan tailored to your needs. Many clients notice more ease and clarity within the first several sessions, with deeper, lasting change as we continue. Sessions are collaborative: you'll always know why we're doing something and can move at your own pace. I'm not just a therapist. I'm someone who has navigated the complicated, messy, beautiful terrain of real life myself, and that shapes how I show up for you: present, honest, and never clinical or distant.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in genuine connection - not in a distant, clinical relationship, but in one where you feel truly seen. I don't believe there's a single right pace for this work; you set it, and I meet you there. Life has taught me that struggle doesn't have an expiration date on when it's "too much" or "not enough" to bring into a session. If something is weighing on you, it belongs in the room. I'm equally at home doing deep trauma work and just as glad to laugh with you along the way. Above all, I believe you already have more capacity for change than you think, and that the right support can help you find it.
