About My Clients
What is it like to not be heard, to feel less then? To struggle on a daily basis with self-esteem, grief, anxiety or depression. My goal is to help you find your voice and build skills to help cope with these struggles. Shame and self-worth can often block one to getting help. It is ok to gain skills and strength to help overcome these obstacles. The sense that you are alone can become overwhelming at times. Being able to speak to someone and understand the process can help with healing.
My Background and Approach
I am an LPC and CADC who has worked for several years for community agencies focusing primarily on addictions and the recovery process. I understand the obstacles and the need for comprehensive mental health treatment while navigating recovery. It is my passion to work with the LGBTQ community as I feel there are even more obstacles and less services for the community. I also am a strong believer in Health at Every Size and realize that again , so many obstacles to navigate. I work with DBT, Somatic and Trauma informed modalities. I am a strong follower of mindfulness and learning and teaching meditation and calming techniques. I also feel it is important to listen to your body and understand the cues it is sending you.
