About My Clients
I work best with adults who look functional on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. Many of my clients deal with anxiety, overthinking, stress, depression, trauma history, self-doubt, relationship pressure, or identity concerns. I also support Black men, people of color, LGBTQ+ clients, and those seeking therapy that is practical, culturally aware, and emotionally honest. My clients want more than a place to vent; they want to understand their patterns and make real change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona with extensive experience in individual therapy, group therapy, family work, clinical supervision, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health leadership. My approach is structured, practical, collaborative, and direct while remaining compassionate and respectful of each client’s pace. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-informed interventions. I help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences connect so they can identify what keeps them stuck. My clinical philosophy is simple: if you want to change the way you feel, you have to change the way you think. If you do not understand the way you think, how are you going to change anything? Therapy with me focuses on awareness, practical tools, and meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be honest, practical, culturally aware, and grounded in respect. I value emotional accountability, personal growth, and helping people understand the patterns that shape how they see themselves, others, and the world. As a Black male therapist, I understand that many people, especially men and people of color, were taught to carry pain quietly or confuse silence with strength. I believe healing often begins when people have enough safety to be honest about what they think, feel, fear, and need. I support inclusive, affirming care for Black communities, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone who has felt unseen or misunderstood in traditional systems of care.
