About My Clients
I specialize in working with BIPOC, immigrants, first‑generation adults, teens and preteens who struggle with anxiety, depression, and low self‑esteem. Many of my clients feel pulled between cultures, live with generational trauma, or are healing from childhood wounds. They long for authentic connection, self‑acceptance, and a therapist who understands intersections of identity.
My Background and Approach
As a Lao American licensed clinical social worker, I bring a trauma‑informed and culturally humble lens to therapy. My practice combines psychodynamic and cognitive‑behavioral approaches with narrative therapy, mindfulness, and Buddhist‑inspired compassion practices. I encourage clients to explore their stories, unpack intergenerational patterns, and reclaim their inner wisdom. Our sessions are collaborative: you set the pace while I provide grounding practices, psychoeducation, and gentle challenges. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ and diverse clients to be fully themselves. My work is informed by my experience as a first‑generation immigrant, my love for my community, and a commitment to decolonizing healing.
