About My Clients
I specalize in working with individuals and couples during pregnancy and postpartum who may be experiencing a myriad of feelings from anxiety, isolation, and depression, to stress or feelings of guilt and inadequacy. I offer a safe non judgmental space allowing you time to reflect on how your life has changed, how this is impacting you and your relationships, and what you can do to make positive changes to thrive.
My Background and Approach
My personal approach as a therapist has always been focused on the power of the human connection. I believe, by nature, we are social beings and were not designed to suffer in silence and feel so alone with our innermost challenges. I strive to offer my clients a space to feel heard, understood, and accepted. I help clients reflect on what it is that they really want to achieve from therapy and work towards those goals together. I am a strong advocate for mental health and have been working in the field for over 10 years in both the U.K. and the U.S. I have advanced training in Perinatal Mental health from PSI and I have extensive experience in working with survivors of trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the capacity for change and for growth. This process can be facilitated or hindered by the choices that we make, the patterns that we have learned, and the influences of those that we surround ourselves with. With this in mind I truly believe that therapy is one of the greatest investments we can give to ourselves. Allowing yourself the gift of space, time, and reflection to focus on you and what you need can lead to positive changes, growth, and healing.
