About My Clients

My clients are parents in the middle of it: separated, divorcing, or seriously considering it, trying to hold their kids' world steady while their own falls apart. Many have ADHD — diagnosed, suspected, or just a lifelong sense of "why can't I keep up with what everyone else manages?" They come to me exhausted, guilty, and tired of advice built for organized brains. Their goal isn't just surviving the divorce. It's coming out the other side more themselves, not less.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, founder of Boho Therapy, and a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education — I teach and research this work at the university level. My specialty is an intersection few therapists focus on: divorce, co-parenting, and ADHD. Divorce doesn't just end a relationship; it dismantles every system that kept your life running, and for a brain with ADHD, that structure was load-bearing. In our work, we'll hold both sides of this season: the grief of what's ending and the practical rebuild of what's next — communication strategies for high-conflict co-parenting, routines that fit your brain, and steadiness for your kids through it all. I work from narrative and strengths-based approaches: separating who you are from what happened to you, then building your next chapter on what already works about you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 30, and it reorganized how I understood my whole life — including why the hardest seasons were always the ones where my structure collapsed. I'm also a solo parent, so the rebuild I help my clients through is one I've lived. I believe ADHD care should be neurodiversity-affirming: your brain isn't broken, and "just get organized" was never real advice. Beyond the therapy room, I'm a doctoral researcher and advocate working on equity in counselor training — studying how unpaid internships and time poverty shape who gets to become a counselor. When I'm not in session, you'll find me baking, making ice cream, on a treadmill, or out on a nature walk.
