My Background and Approach
I believe mental health is an essential piece to living our best, most fulfilling lives. I enjoy working with children, families, and individuals. I am especially passionate about working with pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults as they transition through life's challenges. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy to ensure I am meeting clients where they are developmentally and culturally. Some of the most common modalities I employ include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Play Therapy techniques with children, and other culturally sensitive approaches. I work with pre-teens, teenagers, young adults, and women of color to be empowered to lead their therapy process and their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am originally from Kansas City (home of real BBQ and the Kansas City Chiefs). I relocated to the DC area 10 years ago to attend the illustrious Howard University. In my free time, I enjoy doing DIY projects and bedazzling anything I can get my hands on.
