About My Clients
I work with a variety of clients who are interested in activating change in their lives by addressing old patterns of behavior that no longer serve them. We will work together to address the issues that are calling out for change be that anxiety, depression, issues around intimacy, grief, self esteem, creativity or simply a desire to self actualize in a deeper way.
My Background and Approach
I help individuals to identify undesirable patterns of behavior that do not serve them and address the roots of these issues in order to increase self-agency and overcome emotional blocks. I also enjoy facilitating creative people in realizing their fuller potential and authenticity. Whether you are seeking a safe place to be heard and process feelings, a desire for greater self-awareness, or to access deeper sources of creativity, we will work together to set goals and understand the underlying issues that inform current life complications. I approach each session with empathy, compassion and practicality. I draw on different areas of expertise including cutting edge modalities and evidence based approaches, as well as relational, psychoanalytic, somatic, Jungian and other depth-oriented methods. I hold an MA in Counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My background is in the arts and I have a BFA in Theater.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have the capacity to change and grow at any point in life. Just as we have learned patterns of behavior that no longer serve us, we can also learn new ways of being that can free us and enrich our lives. I believe that the therapy room should be a safe place to practice and learn new ways of being.
