About My Clients

I work with adults who are carrying a lot and are often used to being the strong one for everyone else. Many of my clients are first responders, veterans, frontline medical workers, or men who do not always feel at home in traditional therapy spaces. They may be dealing with stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, irritability, or relationship strain. If you want therapy that is grounded, direct, and down to earth, I may be a good fit.

My Background and Approach

I am a therapist with prior experience in both military and law enforcement settings, which gives me a strong understanding of the culture, stressors, and unspoken realities many first responders, veterans, and frontline workers live with every day. I currently provide therapy in Liberty, Missouri through Rooted Within Counseling. My style is practical, honest, and relational. I aim to create a space where you do not have to over-explain yourself or worry about being judged. Therapy with me is not about clichés. It is about helping you understand what is happening, build useful tools, and move toward stability, clarity, and growth. I commonly draw from CBT, CPT-informed work, trauma-informed care, and meaning-centered approaches depending on your needs.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when it feels real. People heal in spaces where they feel respected, understood, and not talked down to. My goal is to offer a straightforward, supportive environment where you can speak honestly about what is going on and work toward meaningful change. I also believe resilience is not about pretending things do not hurt. It is about learning how to carry hard experiences in a way that does not keep running your life. Many of the people I work with have spent years pushing through, staying busy, or holding it together for everyone else. Therapy can be a place where you do not have to do that alone.
