About My Clients

I work with individuals who are ready to feel understood, supported, and confident as they navigate life’s challenges. My clients may be experiencing trauma, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, emotional stress, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. As a therapist, I understand that every person’s story is different, which is why I provide a welcoming and judgment-free space.

My Background and Approach

My background as a therapist and social worker has given me the opportunity to work with people from many different walks of life, each bringing their own experiences, challenges, strengths, and hopes for the future. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and couples facing complex circumstances, including trauma, co-occurring concerns, relationship difficulties, major life changes, and personal growth. These experiences have shaped the way I practice and strengthened my belief that effective therapy begins by understanding the person. My approach to counseling is built around connection, collaboration, and practical change. I recognize that deciding to speak with a therapist is personal. Some people enter counseling knowing exactly what they want to address, while others simply know that something does not feel right. You do not need to have the perfect words or a clearly defined goal before we begin.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should reflect who you are. Your experiences, personality, culture, relationships, environment, values, and goals are unique, so the way we approach counseling should be unique as well. Rather than using the same strategy with every client, I draw from several therapeutic approaches and adapt our work based on your individual needs. My clinical approach may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices. These approaches allow us to explore both what has contributed to your current concerns and what can help you move forward. At times, our work may involve examining patterns of thinking or behavior. Other sessions may focus on emotions, relationships, communication, coping strategies, boundaries, decision-making, or developing specific skills that you can use in everyday situations.
