About Our Clients
We proudly serve LGBTQIA2S+ individuals navigating identity, relationships, trauma, ADHD, Autism, and life transitions. We welcome those feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or in crisis. Our ideal clients are adults and young adults seeking affirming, neurodivergent-friendly care in English or Spanish. We’re here for folks who want real connection, cultural humility, and therapy that honors the complexity of who they are.
Our Background and Approach
Humanistic Therapy NW is a diverse team of licensed clinicians offering compassionate, evidence-based care across Washington and Oregon. We specialize in supporting LGBTQIA2S+ communities, neurodivergent individuals (including those with Autism and ADHD), and people facing trauma, anxiety, and identity-related stress. Our clinicians are trained in DBT, CBT, ACT, MI, IFS, and trauma-informed practices, with experience serving people in crisis, navigating marginalization, or feeling disconnected from typical therapy spaces. One of our clinicians is bilingual in Spanish, and we work with interpreters to ensure access for all. Whether you're looking for structured skill-building or a space to unpack deeper emotional wounds, we tailor therapy to your needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach. We're here to help you feel seen, heard, and supported, every step of the way.
Why We Started this Group Practice
We believe mental health care should be rooted in justice, community, and real human connection. We are a queer-led, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming practice that values intersectionality, accessibility, and cultural humility. We support Black Lives Matter, trans liberation, disability justice, immigrant rights, and the right of all immigrants to live, work, and thrive in the U.S. without fear. We also recognize that we live and work on the unceded lands of Indigenous peoples, including the Chinook, Multnomah, Duwamish, and other Coast Salish tribes. We honor their continued presence, resistance, and leadership. Our team includes bilingual and neurodivergent clinicians, and we offer care in Spanish as well as through interpreters. We are deeply committed to serving marginalized communities, especially those navigating systems not built with them in mind. Whether you're grieving, questioning, masking, surviving, or thriving—we honor your story and are here to walk with you.
