About My Clients
I want to create a safe environment where we can work on and achieve your goals. I look forward to talking to you to see if we are a good match! I am specifically interested and adept at working with populations 8-30 and also have experience with family work as well as extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ identified clients.
My Background and Approach
I received my MSW from Portland State University in 2016 and I have over 20 years of social work experience including child welfare, pediatric and adult emergency room social work, school social work, therapy with children/adults, and work as a behavioral health consultant in pediatrics. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based approach. I use skills from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), MI (motivational interviewing), and humanistic/existential therapeutic modalities. I believe that humor and fun can be healing and incorporate both into my style of practice.
