About My Clients
I work best with adults facing stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ issues. My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and compassionate. I tailor therapy using Humanistic, Strength Based, Trauma Informed, Mindfulness, and Psychoeducation. I strive to create a judgment-free space for sharing, growth, and connection—meeting you with honesty, empathy, and curiosity.
My Background and Approach
I’ve been a fully licensed therapist since 2020, with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from UNCA, an MA in Counseling from Wake Forest, and I’m currently pursuing an MA in Human Rights and Social Justice from ASU. My experience spans schools, supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, intensive in-home services, walk-in assessments, forensic evaluations, community mental health, and now private practice teletherapy. This diverse background allows me to understand and adapt to a wide range of client needs and life experiences. I draw from my education and real-world experience to provide informed, flexible, and compassionate care—helping you feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout your therapy journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My core values are doing no harm, promoting wellness, empowerment, and education. I believe in not staying neutral during societal strife and seeking ways to live well within systems of oppression. Currently pursuing a second master’s in Human Rights & Social Justice, I’m passionate about human rights, social justice, reparations, trauma healing, women’s, LGBTQ+, and Indigenous rights, and fighting against colonialism, patriarchy, and capitalism. Personally, I value fairness, equality, independence, assertiveness, curiosity, and kindness. I strive to be a stable presence for clients in their darkness, believing “shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces” (Ann Voskamp). I show up authentically and look for glimmers in everyday life. I support education, safety, and rights for all people, animals, and the environment.
