About My Clients
Life can get you down sometimes, and when you struggle with your mental health, any task can seem impossible. I want to help you with all of these feelings by helping to educate you on your mental health, by being a safe place to be vulnerable, answering that age-old quetion "why," & by giving you the skills to get out of your head and into your life and slowing your racing mind down. Or, some days, the means to just get out of bed.
My Background and Approach
I am a real person, and I have real conversations. I want to build a strong trusting relationship. My goal for you is to leave therapy with skills you can use for a lifetime. I want to make myself obsolete in your life ( even if I enjoy our conversation, I assume you don't want me in your life forever... right? ).I am direct and solution-focused. We'll work collaboratively to address the anxiety attacks that are bothering you right now. We'll start with what's going on in the moment and how to get control over your body and thoughts. We'll address what's going on in your brain when you feel anxious and how to get in touch with different parts of your brain to find relief. We'll discuss what happens to your body when fear takes over so you can learn how to quickly calm down. You'll gain resilience so that attacks don't continue in the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love my job and helping others better understand themselves. I think authenticity is essential to a strong therapeutic relationship. Mental health journeys are never a straight line, and I am here to help you on this journey. I am a huge football fan. GO BILLS! I love cats and all animals. I hope to get to know you and help you on this journey.
