About My Clients
Maternal mental health, parenting and couples clients are my speciality. Typically, sessions process anxiety, being overwhelmed, depressed, feeling like their life doesn't align with their desired life. This may mean developing a parenting style that feels authentic or making sense of unexpected anxiety/depression peri/postpartum. This could also include helping partners reconnect and acquire communication that feels good. I infuse each session with applicable tools that are useful.
My Background and Approach
As a neurodivergent individual, parent and partner, I use my training and life experiences to provide practical, research based tools that are useful. We identify strategies, based on your strengths, needs and hopes that work for YOUR life. In addition to being a therapist, I am a school psychologist, which means I consider the neurobiology of behaviors and lean heavily into Dr. Dan Siegel's work. I am Gottman Level 1 Certified. I have completed advanced EMDR training. I have advanced training in psychotherapy for perinatal and postpartum population. I have completed advanced training in Positive Discipline to help caregivers find their grounded and connected parenting path. Most importantly, I meet you in a space where you are seen, heard and your desired work is valued. This means each session focuses on your immediate needs. I have the capacity to infuse several modalities that will support personal growth and reduce anxiety/depression and/or cultivate tools.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe at our core we all want to feel a sense of belonging and significance, to be loved and valued. Part of my value comes from being an advocate for neurodiversity, LGBTQ and Pro- Choice. I am a member of the ProChoice Therapists.
