About My Clients
Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. Clients can expect to leave sessions with a greater sense of clarity, self-awareness, and confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. My approach is both supportive and direct—I provide a space where you feel heard and validated while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back.
My Background and Approach
My approach is deeply relational—I believe healing happens through connection, so I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to process your experiences, gain clarity, and create meaningful change. I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step in therapy, especially when past experiences with mental health care have felt impersonal or unhelpful. That’s why I strive to create a space where you feel truly heard, respected, and understood. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT151385) with a Master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. While I offer warmth and validation, I also take a direct and challenging approach when appropriate, helping you expand your perspective, break unhelpful patterns, and move toward personal growth. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more confident, self-aware, and equipped with the tools to create the life and relationships you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I am deeply committed to accessibility, inclusivity, and social justice. My passion for this work stems from my own experiences navigating barriers to mental health care and the challenge of finding a therapist who truly felt like the right fit. I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, affirming, and effective support, and I strive to create a space where all identities and experiences are welcomed and respected. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and an advocate for mental health equity. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and stay engaged in ongoing learning to better serve diverse communities. I take a trauma-informed approach to care, recognizing the systemic and personal challenges that impact mental health, and I work to empower clients in ways that align with their values and lived experiences. Beyond therapy, I strive to contribute to a culture of mental health awareness, acceptance and empowerment.
