In your treatment, I bring trauma informed and relational trauma informed approaches. We explore how your current life experiences are influenced by past life experiences you have been affected by. We work on establishing your true self throughout the journey, emphasizing self-care, emotional and somatic work. You can expect to begin healing from your past in our therapy sessions, creating more days of healing for your future self.
My Background and Approach
My path to becoming a mental health provider began with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science, where I discovered the need for treatment in mental and emotional wellness, during an externship. After undergraduate school, I began work at a community clinic to work with adults, children, youth and families coaching on mental and behavioral health solutions. Fast forward to now, I have been practicing as a clinical therapist, treating anxiety, depression and trauma symptoms, for over 9 years. My practice has been focused on helping those who have experienced trauma feel relief from their symptoms. I help you get control over your thoughts, manage charged emotions, physical symptoms and responses to trauma symptoms. We will establish a safe place to express your emotional vulnerabilities and needs. We will outline a plan to help manage your responses to past trauma, and work together on optimizing your confidence in feeling relief from past traumatic experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe change and growth are apart of life. Our bodies change, our minds change, life circumstances change, and the one constant guaranteed in life is change. I have learned that changing the way I deal with my experience with past trauma has reinforced a healthier relationship with myself and with others. Through my own therapy, I have been able to heal from past emotional hurts and make the changes needed to move past negative core beliefs once shaping my life and the way I viewed relationships.
