My Background and Approach
I am a professional counselor associate with a background in yoga, art and mindfulness. My approach to counseling includes elements from mindfulness-based, somatic, experiential, and relational therapies. Most importantly, I believe in the power of a trusting, therapeutic relationship to assist you on your journey through the challenges of overwhelming emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the dignity and worth of every individual, and I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, affirming, and empowering. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and hold certificates in LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming clinical care. I understand the importance of honoring diverse identities and experiences. My work is grounded in challenging systems of oppression and advocating for social justice, and I strive to approach therapy with a lens that values equality, autonomy, and empowerment. These beliefs guide my practice, and I am dedicated to supporting my clients in a way that respects their unique identities while addressing the broader societal forces that impact their well-being.
