About My Clients
Our lives are filled with small and large challenges that we learn to navigate daily. But what happens when you get stuck? When there is difficulty finding ways of handling issues on your own? Challenges can be viewed negatively but they can also be used as a positive tool for change that can lead to stronger relationships with the right support. I encourage my clients to increase their resilience by developing the skills to grow whether individually, as a couple, or in a family system.
My Background and Approach
I hold dual licenses as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I also serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at TFC. I am a Certified Gottman Therapist and am pursuing certification in Grief Movement and facilitating Therapeutic Tabletop Role Playing Games. I also focus on continued training in the areas of couples counseling, trauma, EMDR, anxiety, and grief. As a Certified Gottman Therapist I bring a unique perspective to counseling. Every individual has unique needs and desires, the Gottman Method is based of decades of research studying relationships and the factors that are most likely to increase the longevity of a relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that as individuals we should always pursue growth and my training reflects my continuing path to increase my professional knowledge to better assist my clients. Developing resilience through a growth mindset is one of my core values as an individual and a therapist. I think that stress, conflict, and loss are opportunities to grow and build the skills needed to successfully travel through life. In addition to finding value in guiding clients to navigate the twists and turns in life I also believe in giving back. I participate in Give an Hour for military personnel as well as the Emotional PPE project for first responders.
