About My Clients
I love working with young adult people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and racial identities living with past trauma, anxiety, and relationship issues, chronic illness, and neurodiversity to create the life you want to be living from the inside out.
My Background and Approach
I went to Naropa University for dance movement therapy, graduating with my master's degree in somatic psychology. I have deepened my studies with biodynamic craniosacral therapy, polarity therapy, body informed trauma therapy, polyvagal theory, and EMDR. I am interested in helping people to name and understand their own triggers and trauma responses, and to identify the significant life experiences that may have impacted their life in the present. Learning the best resources for support and how to self regulate are an important part of the process. Together we uncover the best ways for each individual to orient and manage when things come up in daily life, as well as explore the possibilities for deeper longer lasting healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am here to help you develop a kind, safe, and trusting environment within yourself because when you do things begin to shift and unfold in beautiful and often surprising ways. Through self inquiry, understanding, compassion, skill building, practice, and patience emotional safety develops allowing you to access deeper layers that are waiting to heal. Naturally we move away from our pain and compartmentalize difficult memories. In therapy you will develop more capacity to be present with your life experiences with curiosity about your past and present. You have everything you need to heal already. My role is to help you reconnect with and integrate your memories, capacities, and gifts. Healing happens from within each person when the conditions are right. My experience has shown me that part of the right conditions are in having enough of the right kinds of support in our lives. It is a true honor to be part of that support system as a therapist.
