About My Clients
My specialty is in helping queer people of color navigate issues that they often face, ranging from acculturative stress, immigration and racial issues, internalized inferiority or superiority, self-worth and self-image and shame. I am also passionate about helping folks explore their gender and sexual identities and navigate diverse relationship and sexual experiences including more than monogamy and kink/BDSM. I'm also currently in training for EMDR and Brainspotting for treating trauma.
My Background and Approach
My presence reflects a deep respect for human complexity, and my commitment is to walk with you toward greater healing, clarity, and freedom. I bring an affirming, and direct style to therapy, helping you navigate the complexities of their lived experiences and heal previous trauma, while staying grounded in their goals for healing. I pull from a variety of modalities, including EMDR, Brainspotting, psychodynamic and experiential dynamic therapies. As a queer Asian therapist and multiple-time immigrant, I understand the intricacies of holding intersecting identities in a world that does not always make space for them. I bring this perspective into our work, not only affirming but centering cultural nuance as an essential part of the therapeutic process.
