About My Clients
I work with people who feel stuck in unhelpful cycles, overwhelmed by major life transitions, or weighed down by anxiety. My ideal client is one seeking direction and clarity, ready to examine their patterns, manage overwhelming emotions, and take an active role in their growth. We will focus on identifying root challenges and developing practical strategies to restore your confidence and momentum.
My Background and Approach
I am an LPC-Associate practicing at Catalyst Counseling in Houston, Texas. My office is in the Heights where clients can see me in-person, but I also offer virtual telehealth counseling to Houstonians and people all across Texas. My primary framework combines Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. This keeps our work centered on your immediate goals while systematically addressing counterproductive thinking. When beneficial, I integrate tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based principles to support emotional regulation and relational dynamics. Additionally, I have clinical experience in substance use and addiction counseling. Whether you are just beginning to evaluate your relationship with substances or far down the road of recovery, our work centers on restoring personal agency and long-term stability.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the heart of my practice is the belief that genuine connection, encouragement, and the right tools allow anyone to change and grow. I operate around a three-pillar framework to find the most effective pathway to change for you: emotion, thought, or behavior. Every individual accesses growth differently. For some, progress starts by processing emotions to reduce stress. For others, targeting automatic thoughts and cognitive patterns is the key to change. And for the rest, changing external behaviors first builds the traction needed to transform mindset and mood. Effective therapy identifies your primary entry point, then aligns all three pillars to produce lasting change. Mental health challenges are often learned patterns picked up along the way, not permanent flaws. You have the capacity to unlearn what no longer serves you and learn how to leverage your strengths authentically. My goal is to provide a space to slow down, gain clarity, and take ownership of your direction.
