About My Clients
I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore complex emotional challenges with compassion and support. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing suicidal ideation or loss, self-harm, chronic health challenges, depression, grief, stress, or relationship issues. I also provide support to those who are caregivers, crisis workers, or health care professionals.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in person-centered and humanistic therapy, and supported by techniques from DBT, motivational interviewing, systems, multi-cultural, and feminist therapy. I am also a CAMS trained clinician to best support those with suicidal thoughts with the least restrictive intervention to stay safe in their community. I emphasize collaboration, empathy, and skill-building to promote emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and build a more meaningful life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone is doing the best they can with the skills and resources that they have. I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they reclaim hope and build the life they deserve through unlearning, challenging, redefining and intentionally making value-aligned choices on how to move through and overcome pain and trauma. I believe we live in a system that makes it harder to love your true authentic self and it takes consistent work to challenge the messages we are given in a capitalistic, patriarchal, ableist, systemically racist and homophobic society. I am committed to providing culturally competent and trauma informed care while knowing it is my responsibility to continuously grow and learn as a clinician and human.
