About My Clients

My clients are individuals seeking a compassionate, affirming, and creative space to explore their inner worlds, heal from past wounds, and move toward personal growth and transformation. I work with people from all walks of life, with a particular focus on supporting those from historically marginalized communities, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, women, and those navigating systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), expressive arts therapist, and mental health equity educator, I bring over a decade of experience supporting individuals in healing from trauma, finding their voice, and reclaiming their power. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, drawing on evidence-based practices such as somatic therapy, mindfulness, and expressive arts to support whole-person healing. I believe that creativity is a powerful tool for processing emotions, making sense of experiences, and fostering resilience, and I often incorporate art, writing, movement, or music into sessions. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing is not just about addressing pain but about uncovering joy, cultivating self-compassion, and nurturing the connections that sustain us. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to be your authentic self.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the transformative power of connection, creativity, and community to foster healing and resilience. I am deeply committed to supporting historically marginalized communities in navigating systemic oppression, healing generational trauma, and reclaiming their voices. My work is grounded in social justice and liberation frameworks, centering the belief that mental health is a human right and that healing must address the intersections of identity, culture, and lived experience. I am an advocate for racial equity, LGBTQIA+ rights, immigrant justice, and accessible mental health care for all. I actively engage in community-based initiatives that promote healing and wellness, including workshops on trauma recovery and expressive arts. Outside of my work, I enjoy connecting with my creativity through art, writing, music, and movement.
