About My Clients
Most of my clients are millennials who have been working for several years and are not happy in their job. We work together to unpack their skills, interests and motivators. One of my favorite things to do is coach clients on how to interview and translate what they enjoy doing in the workplace into a different career or to help them land a job at a company that is a better fit.
My Background and Approach
I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I've been a career coach since 2000 and an LPC since 2014.- As far as career coaching goes, I like to hold up the proverbial mirror and help clients recognize their gifts and talents. Interviewing skills is a huge confidence booster for my clients. They walk away with a clear understanding of, not only what they have to offer, but how to say it. -I also work with clients who suffer from anxiety and/or depression. We work together to explore their self-talk and dismantle false beliefs and create strategies to overcome obstacles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I've always been a curious person. I've lived in Switzerland, Italy, France, Africa and Japan and loved learning about different cultures. We each hold a unique view of the world inside ourselves and I love exploring this with my clients. As a counselor, I am constantly learning how to serve my clients better through experience and an active quest for knowledge. I like to ask my clients a lot of questions and then listen. I never know where the question may lead us. What do these stories say about my clients' beliefs? Are they helpful stories? Does my client want to write a new story? I work with my clients to get them from where they are to where they would like to be.
