About My Clients
Our clients are adults who want more than a standard program. Many are professionals, executives, and young adults navigating alcohol or drug use, trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, or a process addiction such as gambling, technology, or sex and love addiction, often more than one at once. Some have been through treatment before. Others are reaching out for the first time, usually with a worried family member beside them. We welcome LGBTQ+ clients and people of every background.
My Background and Approach
Heights Behavioral Health is a founder-led, female-owned practice in the Houston Heights, built on one belief: healing is not standardized. It is designed. Every clinician on our team is master's-level, with advanced training in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, neurofeedback, Exposure and Response Prevention, IFS, DBT, and ACT, and we have a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist on staff. That depth lets us fit the approach to you, not the other way around. We offer a full outpatient continuum: PHP, IOP, an Evening IOP for working professionals, individual therapy, and Individualized Intensive Programming (IIP), a 90-day wraparound track pairing one-to-one therapy with recovery mentoring and family support. Weekly groups add process work, mindfulness, art and equine therapy, and relapse prevention. We are private-pay, bill out-of-network benefits, and explain costs before you commit. Telehealth is available across Texas.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We believe privacy is part of care, which is why we keep the practice small and discreet. We believe in saying what we charge and what we cover, plainly and up front. We believe families heal alongside the person in treatment, so we bring them in rather than keep them at arm's length. We are a female-owned, founder-led practice with deep Houston roots, and we are LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming to clients of every faith and background. We also believe in giving back to the field: we provide free clinical supervision and training to counseling and social work interns, LPC-Associates, and LMSWs, because the next generation of clinicians deserves the kind of mentorship that shaped us.
