About My Clients
Whether you have had years of therapy or are brand-new to it, I enjoy working with clients who are ready to bring a sense of curiosity about themselves, the world, and areas where you may be stuck (as well as what you are doing well!). I am especially interested in working with clients who may be trying out alternative healing methods including psychedelics / plant medicine and who could use some support with integrating the experiences from someone who "gets it."
My Background and Approach
Prior to entering private practice, I worked in residential recovery, crisis stabilization, and community outpatient therapy. My primary modality of treatment is IFS (Internal Family Systems, or “parts work”), and I am also trained in Brainspotting and EMDR. I also utilize ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, and many other approaches such as polyvagal theory, meditation, and breathwork.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that just as every person is unique, each person has their own unique path in this life. I am honored to serve as a guide for part of that journey, to support healing, and to help people cross the bridges that separate one phase of our lives from the next. I have been interested in alternative ways to heal since I was a teen. Before going into the therapy field, I worked in psychology research and was a licensed massage therapist and Reiki Level 2 practitioner for many years. I believe when when we talk about improving our wellness, we need to address things at every level and I will provide suggestions and referrals to support your optimum health.
