About My Clients
My work as a therapist is heavily influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic interventions. I believe that it is through our connection between mind and body, and validation of emotions that healing takes place.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I believe that humans have an innate inclination towards growth and healing. I am committed to fostering a collaborative, accepting space where all individuals can reconnect with their inner- wisdom and navigate the ups and downs of life. My practice emphasizes the importance of self- compassion and nurturance of resilience to move through challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a systemically-oriented therapist, I believe it is crucial to explore how we are affected by the broader systems in our lives, and how our relationships and connections create meaning. I hold the view that no individual is a “problem”, yet we all have adapted to cope and survive the injustices within our families, society, and culture. Growing up on the beaches of North Carolina, I developed a deep love of the sun and the outdoors. In my free time, you can usually find me taking my pup on an adventure, starting a new art project, or spending time with my loved ones.
