About My Clients
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and to better understand what you’re experiencing. We’ll discuss your concerns, your goals, and what you need from treatment. You’re welcome to ask any questions—this is your space, and your comfort matters. By the end of our conversation, we’ll create a clear plan for next steps so you leave with hope, direction, and support—not uncertainty.
My Background and Approach
I start by listening—carefully and without judgment—so we can understand what’s really getting in your way. My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences and move toward change in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with your values. My approach is practical, relational, and evidence-based. I combine therapy with thoughtful medication management when appropriate, always keeping your goals and preferences at the center of care. I often integrate CBT and ACT strategies, mindfulness, and emotional regulation work to help you better understand patterns and build tools that last. I also consider lifestyle and nervous system factors that affect mental health—such as sleep, stress, habits, and daily demands—so treatment supports your overall well-being, not just symptom relief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health care works best when it’s collaborative and grounded in trust. I provide a calm, supportive environment where you can talk openly without judgment. My background includes over a decade in nursing—working in critical care, school-based health, and psychiatry. This diverse experience shaped my belief in treating the whole person, not just symptoms. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, or life stress, I meet you where you are and help you move toward meaningful change at a realistic pace.
