About My Clients
Do you feel alone and helpless? Do you feel like there is a constant threat of danger even though you know there isn't? These feelings are completely normal. Together, we will find the cause and alleviate the symptoms. My Background and Approach
I work with adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD and more. I specialize in EMDR. I believe that certain shaming experiences in early childhood, lead to negative core beliefs about ourselves that cause depression and anxiety. ( Beliefs such as "I am unlovable, I am defective, I am at fault, I am usafe" etc.) As we heal from trauma, we come to understand a more positive beliefs about ourselves. Clients have told me that the techniques they learn in our sessions have helped them to build self- confidence, decrease anxiety, set boundaries with others, increase feelings of hope and feelings of positivity and traumatic memories become less emotional. We will discuss what is happening in your body when fear and anxiety takes over and how to find relief from the pain . We will learn grounding skills, guided imagery and many other techniques. We will get to the route cause of your anxiety and depression and together we will help find ways to heal from these wounds.
