About My Clients
You thirst to understand yourself and those around you with depth and clarity. You desire to uncover insight into who you are and your relationships. You struggle with perfectionism and are convinced that you will get left behind unless you do all the right things and be everything. You give so much care and attention to other people that you don’t know what it feels like to get your own needs met. My clients say they feel heard, cared for, and understood in sessions.
My Background and Approach
I apply an attachment-based approach to therapy as it can help you learn more about yourself, develops self-compassion, improve your relationships, and helps you reconnect with yourself and the people around you. Attachment-based therapy explores how one’s early childhood experiences may impact their current thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships in adulthood. In this way, you will not only feel good enough and let go of perfectionism, but you will have the confidence to show it openly to people. Although I use an attachment-based perspective, I draw from other treatment modalities. Emotion-focused, psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Imago therapy may also be used to help you accomplish all of your goals. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University and have been recognized as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we, as humans, are just trying to do our best with what we have. I believe there is an explanation for why we feel the things we feel, and your feelings are valid. My clients have shared that they feel heard, understood, and relieved working with me. I provide a safe space where you can come as you are. I provide gender-affirming, sexual orientation-affirming care.
